Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and motivation to enhancing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) solutions all through an engagement using the agency's senior managers in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric final exams.
Of your 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% from the registered pupils while in the training sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates that the investment national government is building inside the lives of weak and susceptible kids is yielding a positive impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe explained.
